That’s it. It’s over. I’m done with it.

Surely writing “The End” on yet another manuscript is the sweetest feeling ever 🙂

This one took a lot longer than Murder In Absentia. I blame the baby. I hope that as he grows up, I’ll get the next books finished quicker…

So what’s next? And when can Felix fans get ahold on this new beauty?

Well, as soon as I deem it to be a beauty. Right now, there are a lot of “to-do” notes in the margins, plot holes to fix, sewers to explore, writing to be tightened. Plus, my developmental editor says that Felix hasn’t suffered enough. Apparently all the (literal) physical torture with the resulting [CENSORED], is just not enough. I need to put him through an emotional wringer; wrench his guts, make him suffer like a red-shirt with with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

So I’m going to do all that. And THEN… then I’ll take a break. Write a short story. Then do another editing pass.

And after that’s completed, it’s then that the beta readers… will have to hold their breath. Cause after that will come another break, another short, and another editing pass.

THEN a lucky few would get their hands on Felix latest torture adventure.

After which there will be another round of editing, because plot holes.

THEN, it’s THEN… that the book will go back to my editor for final proofreading. Then there will be the mechanics of publication, layout and formatting, launch party planning…

So… December? Let’s say February, to be on the safe side. Mark it in your calendars, people! Felix is coming!(*)
