First, Felix gave an interview – or so he thought. He was invited to Tabi Slick’s ‘Interview with the Stars’ series. But it wasn’t a simple interview. Oh, no! Instead, Tabi dropped him into a murder mystery, and he had to resolve it on the spot…
Tabi: You might be wondering what all this is for. I figured that since you’re a private investigator you could solve a little mystery for us while telling us about yourself.
Felix: But of course, I wouldn’t expect anything else but an unpaid commission from Assaph.
Tabi: It’s a dinner party, but something seems to be killing them. The doors are secured so what killed them couldn’t have been external. It’s your mission to figure out from the clues around this room what did it. What do you do first when approaching a crime scene like this?
Felix: Not eat anything, that’s for sure. Let me sniff at the food and wine, see if I can detect poisons anywhere. That’s assuming it’s a normal crime scenes, of course, without the dead coming back to life.

As for yours truly, Heather Hall Cassaday creates very unique interviews. She researches the author before coming up with unique sets of questions for each. This makes the interviews much more engaging for the interviewee – and hopefully for readers too 😉
Speaking of protagonists giving their own interviews, you’re listed as the “mad genius behind TheProtagonistSpeaks.com”. What is it and how did it come about?
Assaph – That was one of those 3am ideas that stuck around, and turned out to be just as shiny in the light of day. It is a blog dedicated to character interviews. Authors, especially indie authors, are always looking for ways to promote their writings. Advertising has its place, but as an indie you are often short of cash and an ad by itself won’t be that effective anyway. So you are always on the lookout for opportunities to show case your work, and meet new readers.
Hence the blog. We all go on interviews on other blogs and talk about ourselves (*ahem*), but this is a place dedicated to the characters. It serves both to give established readers a chance to learn more about the books they love, and for new readers to experience the author’s writing style. It gives them a unique perspective about what to expect in the books.

Last but not least, Jena Baxter interviewed me for her Bookworms blog. She gave me the option of what style of interview, and I went with quirky…
If you were a fantasy creature, what would you be, and why?
A unicorn, to ride all the maidens…
Oh, it’s the other way around, you say? Never mind…
