The ink is still warm on In Numina, and I’ve started work on a new Felix novella! I aim for about a quarter of the usual Felix novel size, and hope to complete it by the end of the year. I’ve already written almost half of it over the past two weeks!
In this story, Felix deals with the strange case of a consul seemingly gone mad, as well as getting used to having Borax at his side at all times.
Best of all, it will be free!
Well, free for subscribers to the mailing list. ‘What mailing list?’ I hear you ask. Well, in launching In Numina I also (quietly) launched a mailing list. Besides the new release announcement, here are a few other tidbits that went into it (so you don’t miss out on the good stuff):
- In celebration, both Murder In Absentia and Eric Klein’s The One are on a $0.99 special for this week only! If you hurry, you can find them here.
- There is a second massive SF&F, Mystery, and Thriller Boxed-set Giveaway. Inside you’ll find works from 26 authors: shorts, samples, and free novels. To get your mitts of this smoking-hot set, head here for the details.
- The Literary Book Gifts 20% discount code I’ve mentioned before
- And, of course, invitations to character interviews and world-builders author interviews.
I’ll only email with major story news, never more than once a quarter. Next email will include the new Felix novella, as well as more gifts and good stuff. For you not to miss it, please subscribe here:

Getting on that mailing list will be the only way you’ll get the novella. I’ll send it when it’s ready, and after that it will be used as a subscriber magnet. So go on, click that form 🙂
I loved your first book and am 1/2 way thru the second. Rome, Science Fantasy, and mystery it doesn’t get better than that! Thank you. Looking forward to the novella.
