Every week, B E Van de Viere (aka Miss Muse) posts an image as a short writing prompt, under the tag #MissMuseMe. She has a great knack to find really captivating images. Last week’s image was this one:

I often go against the grain. This week thought I’d try something really different:

Every day the wounds bled anew,
Every day she felt cut in half.
But not for a moment did she ever rue,
Her mortal decision to live, love, laugh.

Not bad, for someone who doesn’t ‘do’ poetry 🙂
